We were married on August 29, 2009 at Indian Springs Metropark in the Environmental Discovery Center in White Lake, MI. I can honestly say that we had such an amazing day and so much fun. For days we were so concerned with the weather (it was looking to be quite chilly and rainy), but it turned out great the day of (I don't think it would have mattered to me if it had poured once I was up there with the husband). I highly recommend this venue because they were so great with everything and pretty much let you do whatever you want and very reasonable. We used Cranks Catering for our buffet dinner and for our bartenders and they did wonderful and the food was great. They even gave us extra staff for no charge. :) We did all the flowers ourselves (fiftyflowers.com) and they were gorgeous when they arrived. We constructed the bouquets the day before the wedding and all the flowers were from Sam's Club. It was pretty easy once you got into the swing of things and saved us a ton of money doing it ourselves.
I swear that the day just flew by. Take a moment to let it all sink in and enjoy. All the little things won't matter the day of.
Now onto the photos (since we know that's what everyone really wants to see). Our photographer and his wife were more than great to work with (www.danstewartphotography.com). They are such a fun couple and really have you as their main focus. And his pictures are just stunning. They get an A++++. All the photos still have their watermarks as we are still waiting to receive our disks of photos in the mail.

This weekend was super productive. I had to work all of Labor Day weekend at the pharmacy which blew, but my dad did come up to drop off the rest of our wedding stuff (gifts, decorations and lots of leftover booze). While he was here he helped fix some things on the house. We got all the locks on the garage doors, put up our closet doors (had to re-frame), installed electrical outlets in the living room floor (no more extension cords to trip on and made the built in for our tv in our bedroom which is amazing. I'll be sure to take some pictures of it later once we get the curtains up and the photos as well.
Anyways, onto the fun wedding stuff. As I mentioned before the weather was a huge concern of ours since we were having an outdoor ceremony. The days before the wedding were terribly raining and for a few moments there I was sure it was going to rain on our wedding day. The day of was a bit dreary in the morning and cooler than planned. We had been worried for so long that it was going to be super hot since it was the end of August, but instead we should have been worrying about it being too cold. That morning Kelly came over and did mine and Heidi's hair and I loved it. Soon after that we did makeup and headed over to the hall for all the girls to get changed into their dresses and we also opted to take lots of photos before the ceremony because it would save us time and allow us to get all the photos that we wanted. The weather finally cleared up before the ceremony and the sun peeked out. It was perfect because it wasn't hot nor cold (right around 68 degrees). Soon after the ceremony the sun went away and was replaced by overcast clouds and it chilled down. Later that evening it rained even. I'm so glad that it held up for the times we needed it to.
So onto pics!

( lots more )
I really can't wait to get our professional photos back. I know that he is working on them today as I saw his facebook status of:
Dear Ryan and Amber, You two are making it really hard for me to decide which photos I like the most. Stop being so gorgeous. Love, Dan
Made me laugh first thing this morning.
I really have to recommend using flickr as a port for all your guests to upload photos. Our guest have uploaded about 800 and that doesn't include photos that have been posted on facebook as well.
I also am so thankful that we had one of our friends officiate the ceremony. It was so great to have someone we really knew and that knew us do it. It just made it seem so much more personally and his additional excerpt into the ceremony had us in tears.
The day honestly couldn't have went any better than it did. Things just seemed so perfect and I really couldn't ask for more. And I'm finally married to my best friend...what else could I want

The day went absolutely perfect and I really have no complaints at all! I can honestly say that we have amazing family and friends and they made our day so much more perfect. I've married an amazing man and am so excited for what life holds ahead for us.
More pictures soon to follow and I can't wait to catch up on everyone.
